I have no doubt that both Chris and Samir are entertaining our fallen troups now guarding heaven's gate.

I hear the sound of laughter coming from somewhere over the rainbow......:)

There isn't a day goes by I don't think about Samir's little boy and how he's doing.

The last time I talked to Samir was on my cell phone the night before he was killed by the bastards. I was outside my hooch with the other characters on NCO Alley.

I asked Samir how what he was doing. He said he was relaxing at home, chilling with his family.

I then passed the phone around so he could talk to the other guys but before I got the phone back to say good night to my friend, the signal was lost.

The next day, he was killed.

He truly had become a friend not only to me but to everyone in our unit.

I miss him.

Samir is a lucky guy, Casanova, he has some great friends who will never let him be forgotten........ and I do believe that his son will see his father's dream of a free and democratic Iraq come true. May Allah bless and watch over his family!
