Book

People have really been encouraging me to write a book since I started this blog. And I have been working on one since February. It's a fiction, partly based on my experiences in the military. I'm trying to make it comical while serious. And I will use the pen name Bob Sminklemeyer. I've been in talks with an agent, but I'm not really trying to make a buck or get famous. In fact, I turned down a screenplay opportunity just because I didn't like getting hassled by this producer. I'm not saying I would become famous if it gets published, but I really like my privacy and I don't want to end up in the tabloids for getting my morning paper in nothing but my boxers. To be honest, it's always been my dream to walk into a coffee shop and see somebody reading my work.

Smink,
Your humility is not surprising, as I have been reading your blog for a while now.

I work for a major cable company(based in Manhattan)that has produced numerous docu's, profiles and a very well known serious on the subject of Iraq and soldiers of past wars. Im going to email you my address and maybe something can develop. Of course, if you're not interested that's ok too.

You have touched my heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I wish I knew more people like you... I know many of our soldiers are cut from the same cloth...
you have restored my faith in humanity Smink.

"To be honest, it's always been my dream to walk into a coffee shop and see somebody reading my work."

You could look in many people's windows though and see thousands already doing just that.. :)

All you really have to do is exactly what you've been doing, Casanova. You have a real gift when it comes to writing about anything......serious stuff and funny stuff. Besides, you already have a large fan club......and you know I'll always be your biggest fan......after your Mom, of course...... :)

Smink-
I'll make a list of coffee shops for you to visit... because I'm sure you'll find PLENTY of people reading your book all over the country.

About the only way you'll see your book being read in most coffee shops is if it's a Bushitler/Haliburton/Jews/VRW conspiracy that ruined me and thousands of other soldiers lives story.

Hey Smink. It's been a while since I dropped in on your blog. I'm glad to see you're still at it. Good luck with your book.

Hey Sminky, I'm all for your book.

I think you would do a great job with it.

I think it would be better if you did a non-fiction. Of course, that's completely up to you.

You could make yourself like a general or something if you did fiction, so I could see how that would be fun.

You do a very good job with writing.

hmmmmm... you walking out to get the morning paper in your boxers sound made me smile!
I am partial to pajama pants myself, if they aren't ment to grab for a quick run to the corner store late night, then what
