Stryker Brigade going back

They're all being recycled. This is the 2nd time the 4th ID has been there, although it is Seth's first, and they know that unless things change, they'll be going back again, probably in 2008. The 3rd ID has already been there twice, and 1st Cav is replacing 4th ID later this year for their 2nd tour. It will continue this way until the job is finished...and I will continue to pray that it happens soon. But don't feel guilty about being a civilian now, you're keeping us all informed on this end of things, which helps mightily. Take care of yourself, Casanova.... :)
Like KBug said, they're all being sent back again it seems. I've heard of so many 2nd and 3rd tours recently. Used to be that you went to war until it was over. Now, you go for a year, and go home for a year or so, until which time the war is over and you don't have to go back... or it's not over and you return.
Seems your not alone in the guilt department. Many vets feel that way towards their buddies. I can only imagine the bond between you guys that did time over there.
I know exactly how you feel. Guilt is such a wicked feeling isn't it? I was with 3/2 during the first round as well. Even after being gone a year, I wonder if it was the right thing to do.
