This may sound bad, but it is funny to watch somebody duck for cover when a mortar lands 150 meters away. Your typical combat soldier knows it’s a waste of energy, but not the new guys and apparently the top brass…

When I read this article a couple of days ago I was hoping that the reporter just misreported what had actually occurred. Now don't get me wrong, I would probably duck too. Ducking would seem like a natural reaction for those who have not become accustomed to or are not trained in handling this type of situation. I chuckled a little myself when I read the article, but then thought about how these commanders are over there to lead soldiers...how sad is that. If the story was not misreported, perhaps these commanders need to get out a little more and see what their soldiers go through every single day.
